Very smooth, complex and integrated.  Mature wine, though with a hint of cherry blended with the cedar/woodsy notes.   I think we caught this at a good stage where the fruit hasn’t completely faded yet, but the secondary flavors have developed.  A bit tired and short on the finish unfortunately, but the nose is wonderful.  Unfortunately the wine was too delicate for the food and was overpowered.  It went really nicely with the cheese course however.
