Non classical logics play a fundamental role in an ever growing number of disciplines, from computer science to philosophy, economics, and -of course- mathematics. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together leading scholars as well as young researchers to discuss the foundations of the subject and to explore some of its most exciting applications.
Many-valued, inductive, probabilistic, non-monotonic and (multi)modal logics, are only but the best-known logics that our speakers will touch upon. Of particular interest will also be the interaction among those systems.
The workshop intends to dedicate plenty of time to the exchange of ideas: besides the usual after-talk question and answer sessions, every participant will be encouraged to put forward their ideas in the conlcuding discussion panel chaired by the organizers.
The workshop is funded by the Centro di ricerca matematica Ennio de Giorgi, and the Classe di Lettere of the Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa.
